For weeks we explored abandoned spaces. We came to know them by spending time searching for their new inhabitants.
We wandered there, on the lookout for any movement or noise that wouldn’t be from the crumbling buildings or the crackle of plastic in the wind. We finally managed to glimpse the animals that live there and to film them.
In this wildlife film we take you into the animal realm that has blossomed within the spaces left behind and forgotten by humans.

“Il Faut Tenter de Vivre”, a film offering a contemporary vision of the rapport between nature and humanity.
The tale takes an initiatory arc where protagonists navigate between “wild” nature and environments “soiled” by humans, each ambiguously erasing itself in the other’s favour. These different interactions tend to interrogate the perception we have of the living and of the oscillation between the resilience and resignation found in the animal kingdom.
The narrative thread of the film is found in its cinematography. No commentary, sound scapes and an original score guide the spectator in the tale’s progression to the closest of the secret behaviours of wild and free animals.
